Optichemology is a project I began experimenting with in 2007.

I have often been interested in finding new ways to think about how one can view seemingly mundane and everyday sights by learning more about how those things work and operate on a detailed level. Here I explored how type can be not only a visual aesthetic, but also a means of introducing the viewer to a world of information that is often unappreciated and overlooked.
Two sets of compositions were explored:
Prioritizing the photograph with a subtle abundance of typography.
Prioritizing the typography with a subtle use of the photograph.
