To seek out new designs.

In 2021, I was hired by Compadre to create multiple assets for the iconic Star Trek franchise, including logo design, animation, and motion design toolkits to promote First Contact Day.

As a freelancer, I collaborated closely with the teams at Paramount+ and CBS, engaging directly with them to understand their needs and objectives.


Create original animations and logos for First Contact Day, a live multi-hour event celebrating Star Trek's 60-year legacy and the $10.7 billion brand.

Challenge


With input from CBS, Paramount+, and the producers at Compadre, I developed a live on-air motion toolkit, over 100 logo explorations, and dozens of 3D environments to fully explore the brand’s potential.

Solution


Results

The motion graphics I created earned over 143 million combined views across Paramount+ and YouTube. The logo explorations and 3D environments I developed helped push the brand’s visual boundaries. Check out the livestream here.

First Contact Day

To honor Star Trek's legacy, First Contact Day was celebrated with a live, multi-hour event highlighting the franchise's availability on Paramount+.

I was responsible for developing designs to advertise the event, as well as exploring various environments for the Star Trek logo.

Logo Redesign

I had the privilege of redesigning and exploring various logos for the Star Trek brand.

Motion Toolkit

I was responsible for creating the motion toolkit for use by the Paramount+ and CBS teams, which included lower thirds, logo bugs, and title cards.

The toolkit I created was used live on air during the First Contact day.
